How to Fix IP Leaks

WebRTC Leak

Enable WebRTC blocking in your VPN app settings. Or install a browser extension like "WebRTC Leak Prevent" for Chrome or disable media.peerconnection.enabled in Firefox's about:config.

DNS Leak

Use your VPN's built-in DNS servers (most do this by default). Check your OS settings aren't overriding DNS to Google/Cloudflare while VPN is on.

IPv6 Leak

Some VPNs only tunnel IPv4. Enable IPv6 blocking in your VPN app, or disable IPv6 in your OS network settings.

With the VPN connected, everything identifying you should point at the VPN server — your public IP, your DNS lookups, and side-channels like WebRTC and IPv6. The test asks each one 'who do you say you are?' and flags any answer that names your real connection. Run it every time you change VPN apps, protocols or devices.
